Islamabad, Apr 27, 2025: Chairman CDA and Chief Commissioner Islamabad, Muhammad Ali Randhawa along with senior officers, visited Sector E-12 and Sector C-14 on today which is Sunday on CDA’s electric bus.
The visit was attended by Member Admin, Member Finance, Member Planning, Member Environment, Member Estate, DG Enforcement, DG Works, DG Environment, DG Sanitation, Project Directors, senior officers of the Islamabad administration and other CDA officers.
According to details, Chairman CDA visited Sector E-12 and reviewed the ongoing pace and standard of development work.
The Project Directors along with Concerned Members briefed Chairman CDA on the latest development activities in E-12.
Chairman CDA Muhammad Ali Randhwa directed that there will no compromise on the quality and standard of the work and directed for removal of all illegal constructions and encroachments in Sector E-12 as its CDA land which shall be cleared from illegal occupants. He also ordered for installation of a main gate at the entry into Sector E-12.
Chairman CDA instructed that all main roads in sub-sectors 1, 2, and 3 of Sector E-12 be completed so that possession of developed plots be handed over to allottees at the earliest.
He further ordered the identification of suitable locations in Sector E-12 for recreational facilities, including development of commercial areas, parks and children’s play areas in order to provide necessary facilities to the residents.
Chairman CDA stated that modern and aesthetically pleasing LED lights should be installed on the main and link roads of Sector E-12.
He directed to have strict action against illegal constructions on CDA land and encroachments, with no leniency toward land grabbers. He directed that all obstacles hindering development work in Sector E-12 be resolved on a priority basis.
Later on, Chairman CDA Muhammad Ali Randhawa visited CDA Sector C-14 and reviewed the ongoing development activities. During the briefing, it was informed that 65% of the development work in Sector C-14 had been completed, including base work and sewerage systems.
Chairman CDA directed the release of funds to ensure the completion of development work in Sector C-14 and ordered the installation of modern LED lights on its main and link roads.
He emphasized that all development work in Sector C-14 must be completed and instructed that any obstacles be resolved on a priority basis.
During his visit, Chairman CDA also directed the immediate removal of all illegal constructions and encroachments around Margalla National Park and Margalla Road.
He ordered the immediate disconnection of electricity connections to illegal structures and called for widespread awareness campaigns through electronic, print, and social media to eliminate encroachments along Margalla Road.
The Environment Wing was instructed to conduct an immediate inspection and submit a report regarding illegal constructions and encroachments in the area.
Chairman CDA Muhammad Ali Randhawa instructed to identify several illegally constructed farmhouses along Margalla Road during his visit and ordered strict action against them.
He directed the immediate disconnection of utilities and issuance of notices to illegal occupants.
He further ordered the installation of warning boards clearly stating that the land belongs to CDA and cautioning the public to stop buying and having construction on illegal land which tantamount to CDA anti encroachment action.
Main entry points from Margalla Road to illegal settlements were to be blocked, and notices were to be issued to all violators as per law.
Chairman CDA stated that CDA would seek support from the ICT Administration, including Assistant Commissioners, magistrates and Islamabad Police, where and when necessary.
The Environment Directorate of CDA was instructed to have close liaison with other directorates in identifying illegal land as well as encroachments so that action will be taken by CDA against occupants of illegal Land as well as encroachments.
CDA has warned the public against investing their hard earn money on illegal and in any unauthorized properties in the area otherwise law will take its own course of action as violators will face strict action, including demolition of their illegal building without further notice.
Chairman CDA Muhammad Ali Randhwa reiterated CDA’s commitment to protecting public land and ensuring well planned development in Islamabad by utilising all its resources.
