To address environmental concerns linked to development projects, the board approved the purchase of two state-of-the-art tree transplanters. This move eliminates the reliance on rented equipment and expedites the relocation of trees to suitable locations, ensuring minimal ecological disruption. Chairman Randhawa instructed officials to prioritize the swift procurement of the machinery, demonstrating the authority’s commitment to sustainable urban development.
Parking infrastructure also featured prominently on the agenda. The board sanctioned the construction of a multi-purpose parking plaza near the Centaurus Hotel, which will include commercial shops for added utility.
Additionally, plans were initiated for another parking facility in Sector I-8 to cater to the growing parking needs of the area. These projects aim to enhance accessibility and convenience for residents and visitors alike.
The CDA Board’s decisions reflect its dedication to balancing urban growth with environmental preservation and modern infrastructure needs, setting a proactive example for other urban authorities.
