The Capital Development Authority (CDA) was apprised to accelerate the growth in five sectors of Islamabad which are C-14, C-15, C-16, E-12, and I-12. Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi emphasized that developments of E-12 and C-16 could experience delays presented because of the pending land tenure issues, and told the CDA that all areas of land tenure issues in C-15 have to be resolved quickly so that the entire urban scheme could be implemented.
The meeting held at CDA Headquarters, and this time chaired by the minister saw the sanction of the T-Chowk Flyover as well as the Shaheen Chowk Underpass which are now set to start in early September. The session also articulated plans of ten additional police stations in the city. The DAs Chairman Muhammad Ali Randhawa and board members focused their attention on the completion of work in C-14, C-15, and I-12 as the major progress is already observed.
Negotiations were also made as regards to the Faizabad Interchange, whereby the engineering team was requested to present two design options. Schemes of beautification of Diplomatic Enclave and Daman-i-Koh were discussed. Focus shifted to two CDA projects in Sector F-5 that would house five star hotels that would be located around the PNCA and the Marriott Hotel.

In the past, an auction would fail to attract investors; hence, the CDA has decided to consider public-private partnership in the development of those properties. To be completed quickly, in concentrated action still the urban spatial city development growth can be viewed in Islamabad, through E-12 and C-16 sectors, which promise a new dimension of growth and expansion in infrastructure development of the capital city.
