The Capital Development Authority (CDA) is preparing to launch Margalla Enclave Phase II after securing approval from the federal cabinet. The decision comes following the earlier joint venture between CDA and the Defence Housing Authority (DHA) for the first phase of the housing project at Kuri Road.
According to officials, the cabinet approved CDA summary on August 21, allowing it to partner with any government-owned developer for the second phase. The new scheme will cover 83 kanals of land that is 78 kanals in Kuri and five kanals in the Humak area.
In the first phase, CDA joined hands with DHA under a 55-45 formula, where CDA provided land while DHA carried out development. The project witnessed strong sales earlier this year, with a large number of plots booked. Development in Phase I is currently in progress.

The CDA board had already decided in May to move forward with Phase II under Rule 42(f) of the Public Procurement Regulatory Authority, which allows direct contracting between two government bodies. With cabinet approval now in place, CDA will soon invite applications from state-owned developers for the partnership.
