Islamabad, Dec 27: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has unveiled plans to accelerate the development of eight residential sectors in Islamabad, with a particular focus on ensuring the timely delivery of developed plots to allottees.
Sector C-14, which is a key priority, features over 200 one-kanal plots expected to generate more than Rs 12 billion through auctions. Once the final installment is paid, plots will be handed over to owners. Currently, 85% of the road infrastructure and 35% of the drainage and sewerage systems in Sector C-14 have been completed.
In a meeting chaired by CDA Chairman Muhammad Ali Randhawa, progress on various sectors was reviewed, including C-14, I-12, and E-12. Sector I-12 is nearing completion, with 78% of the development finished. Significant progress has also been made in sectors E-12/2 and E-12/1, though challenges related to Built-Up Property (BUP) are still being addressed.
The Chairman emphasized the need to resolve development hurdles in Sectors C-15, C-16, C-13, D-13, E-13, and F-13. He further committed to personally visiting the sites to address any issues hindering progress.
C-14’s one-kanal plots, priced at Rs 60 million each, are being offered on a nine-month installment plan. This initiative is expected to significantly boost CDA’s revenue and contribute to addressing the growing housing demands in Islamabad.
