Cement price in Pakistan has dropped as continuous heavy rains and urban flooding have slowed down construction work across the country. The decreased demand has forced sellers to reduce rates, giving some relief to buyers.
According to the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS), the average price of a 50kg cement bag now stands at Rs1,412, marking a fall of Rs36 compared to the same period last year. Previously, the average rate was Rs1,448, while in certain cities, prices even touched Rs1,510 per bag.
