OpenAI has introduced the ChatGPT Apps SDK, enabling the AI to connect with platforms like Spotify, Booking.com, and Canva. This update turns ChatGPT into an interactive assistant that can perform real-world tasks directly within the chat.

CEO Sam Altman revealed the feature at OpenAI’s Developer Day, showing users can now create playlists, book hotels, or browse real estate listings seamlessly. Initial partners include Spotify, Booking.com, Canva, Coursera, Figma, Expedia, and Zillow, with more integrations expected later this year.

With the ChatGPT Apps SDK, actions like:
“Spotify, make a playlist for my party this Friday”
or browsing Zillow listings happen instantly, making the AI more task-oriented and practical.

OpenAI is also targeting enterprise clients, leveraging the same innovations that powered ChatGPT’s world-class performance in competitions. While the company is still operating at a loss, it is rapidly expanding computing capacity and launching AI apps like Sora.
