Islamabad, Feb 11: Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has introduced a new regulation for the 2025 Hajj season, prohibiting children from accompanying pilgrims. This decision has been made to ensure the safety and well-being of children, protecting them from the potential risks associated with the dense crowds during the pilgrimage. The ministry clarified that this measure is intended to prevent harm and ensure a safer experience for all participants.

As in previous years, priority for Hajj participation will be given to individuals who have not yet had the opportunity to perform the pilgrimage. Registration for the 2025 season is now open for Saudi citizens and residents via the Nusuk app and the official online portal. Pilgrims are required to verify their details, add any companions, and submit any exemption requests, including those related to accompanying mahrams.
In addition to the new regulation, the Ministry has announced a flexible payment plan for domestic pilgrims. The plan allows pilgrims to pay for their Hajj packages in three installments:
- First installment (20%) – Due within 72 hours of booking
- Second installment (40%) – Due by Ramadan 20
- Final installment (40%) – Due by Shawwal 20
Bookings will not be confirmed until all payments are made, with invoices issued for each installment. The ministry has also urged pilgrims to prepare early for the Hajj package sales, which are already available on the Nusuk platform. Pilgrims are advised to choose their preferred packages, top up their e-wallets, and finalize their selections as soon as possible to ensure a smooth booking process.
