Islamabad, Sep 23: China has urged its citizens in Israel to leave “as soon as possible” amid escalating tensions between Israel and Hezbollah.
The Chinese embassy in Israel warned of the severe and unpredictable security situation, emphasizing the need for citizens to either return home or relocate to safer areas.
Tensions have heightened as both Israel and Hezbollah threaten to escalate cross-border attacks despite international appeals for de-escalation.
Recently, an Israeli airstrike in a Hezbollah stronghold in Beirut resulted in the death of Ibrahim Aqil, the head of Hezbollah’s elite Radwan Force. This strike followed coordinated blasts across Lebanon that killed 39 people and injured nearly 3,000, which were attributed to Israel.
Last month, China also advised its citizens in Lebanon to leave after an Israeli strike killed a senior Palestinian fighter, reflecting growing concerns over the safety of its nationals in the region.
