Islamabad, Aug 26: The General Headquarters, General Li Qiaoming, Commander of the People’s Liberation Army Ground Forces, paid a visit to General Syed Asim Munir, COAS.
According to an Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) news release, the meeting provided a platform for in-depth talks on issues of shared interest, regional security, military training, and ways to strengthen bilateral defense cooperation.
The COAS, General Syed Asim Munir, emphasized the strong ties that exist between the People’s Liberation Army and the Pakistan Army, stressing that the two countries’ continued military cooperation is proof of their enduring kinship. The visiting dignitary acknowledged the Pakistan Army’s steadfast professionalism and dedication and expressed respect for Pakistan’s coordinated efforts to confront terrorism and extremism.
The Army Chief thanked the dignitary and reiterated how much Pakistan values its brotherly relations with China. Earlier, in a formal show of deference and hospitality, General Li Qiaoming arrived at the General Headquarters, laid a wreath at Yadgar-e-Shuhada, and received a guard of honor by a well-groomed Pakistan Army detachment.
