A minor earthquake was recorded in the northern region of Pakistan on Monday evening. According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) Islamabad, the seismic activity was detected at 17:52 PST on June 9, 2025.
The earthquake measured 3.2 on the Richter scale, with its epicenter located 20 kilometers southwest of Chitral. The tremor occurred at a depth of 40 kilometers, making it a low-intensity quake with no immediate threat reported.
