Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has announced that Japan modern healthcare and treatment management system will soon be introduced in the province.

During her official visit to Japan, the Chief Minister toured the National Center for Global Health, one of the world’s top hospitals specializing in infectious diseases. She reviewed advanced medical facilities and equipment while meeting Japanese health experts.

As part of this initiative, Punjab’s hospitals will be equipped with high-tech Japanese devices and treatment methods. Plans are also underway to establish the Nawaz Sharif Medical District, modeled on Japan’s healthcare structure.

Maryam Nawaz further revealed that Punjab will launch a health insurance scheme similar to Japan’s. Both governments agreed to work together in areas of research and treatment for diabetes, liver diseases, and infectious conditions.

She received detailed briefings on advanced liver treatment and modern methods to control infectious diseases during her visit. The Chief Minister stressed that Punjab’s healthcare sector will benefit greatly from Japan’s expertise.
