The CM Punjab E-Taxi Scheme 2025 under Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has reached a key stage with the payment plan now finalized. The scheme is set to roll out Pakistan’s first large-scale electric taxi service, aimed at promoting green transport and creating jobs for educated but unemployed youth.
Payment Plan Details
- Applicants will pay a down payment of Rs. 200,000 to Rs. 250,000, depending on the vehicle model.
- The remaining cost will be covered through monthly installments of Rs. 20,000 to Rs. 25,000, payable over five to six years.
- The government will subsidize 30% to 50% of the vehicle cost and cover interest on bank loans.
- For vehicles priced between Rs 4 million and Rs 10 million, the Punjab government will contribute Rs 585,000 towards the down payment.

Special concessions are also included. Women drivers will receive an extra subsidy of Rs 50,000 to Rs 100,000, while disabled applicants will benefit from reduced down payments and free training facilities.
The scheme will begin in Lahore with 1,100 electric taxis in its first phase, supported by 18 operational charging stations across the city.
