Islamabad, Aug 4: The Punjab government will hold a large ceremony to celebrate the province’s best matriculation students on August 7. The purpose of the event, which is to honor and congratulate these youngsters for their outstanding academic achievements, is to present Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz as the chief guest.
The top pupils from all school boards will receive cash prizes and special awards at the occasion, according to Punjab Education Minister Rana Sikandar Hayat. When the students arrive in Lahore, they will also be given a guard of honor and an official procedure.
During the occasion, Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz is anticipated to make an announcement regarding scholarships for deserving students. In order to fully honor the kids, the celebration will go beyond the awards ceremony. A supper will be held at the famed Lahore Fort.
Maryam Nawaz was commended by Rana Sikandar Hayat for being a chief minister who is committed to advancing education and is favorable toward it. He also assembled the secretaries of other bodies to form a coordinating group.
He said that as it is the first ceremony of its kind since Shehbaz Sharif’s seven-year tenure as chief minister, the celebration of academic brilliance in Punjab will resume with this ceremony. He pointed out that there were no such ceremonies throughout the tenure of the caretaker and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf governments. The top pupils’ favorite teachers will also get awards as a special gesture. Parents and teachers who are coming from all across Punjab will spend two days in Lahore to take part in the celebrations.
