CM Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif has acted seriously since her image was put on the wall of a mosque in Mandi Bahauddin. The Chief Minister was extremely unhappy about the affair and immediately summoned the Deputy Commissioner to explain the case.
The official sources state that Maryam Nawaz scolded the Deputy Commissioner and asked him to provide a clear explanation of how such a lapse could have taken place. She further pointed out that the government institutions and the district administrations should strictly follow the official SOPs concerning the use and display of her images.
The provincial government made it clear that nothing can be done with the picture of the CM without the consent of the CM. The purpose of this directive is to uphold transparency, professionalism, and avoid misuse of official photographs (or use to suit individual or political interests).
