The Air Cargo Control Unit (ACCU) of the Customs Collectorate Airports Karachi successfully foiled an attempt to smuggle narcotics through international mail, seizing 2.19 kilograms of marijuana worth approximately Rs. 67.5 million.
According to Customs officials, the contraband was concealed in tin cans falsely labeled as “Thai Red Tea” and shipped from Thailand. The parcel was intercepted during routine scanning and examination by vigilant customs staff.
 
 Authorities said the rise in global e-commerce has significantly increased cross-border trade, making vigilance more critical than ever. Pakistan Customs reaffirmed its commitment to safeguarding society through strict monitoring and timely interception of illicit consignments.
