Steps to Minimise Student Hardship
Education officials stressed that the decision to adjust the timetable was taken to prevent extended uncertainty and to assist students in maintaining their academic focus.
They acknowledged the difficulties students faced due to the changes and committed to supporting them through updated guidance and communications.
Meanwhile, in Karachi, the Board of Intermediate Education Karachi (BIEK) similarly announced that its previously delayed examinations would now commence from 5th May 2025.
This move followed a broader review of exam processes across multiple education boards.
In a related development, the Sindh Assemblyโs parliamentary committee recommended awarding grace marks to first-year students who had not passed their previous examinations.
This recommendation followed an investigation that highlighted inconsistencies and unfair practices during the examination process.
Legislators emphasised the importance of safeguarding students’ futures, particularly in cases where administrative errors or irregularities had impacted their results.
Educational authorities have been urged to implement corrective measures swiftly to restore trust in the examination system.
