Islamabad, Mar 6 2025: Middle-order batter, David Miller, has voiced his frustration with the International Cricket Council (ICC) after his team’s semi-final loss to New Zealand in the Champions Trophy.
Miller, who scored a fantastic hundred in Semi-final expressed his belief that the tight travel schedule and poor planning had a significant impact on South Africa’s performance.
Both South Africa and Australia, the semi-finalists from Group B, had to fly to Dubai after completing their group-stage matches.
With India’s semi-final opponent uncertain, South Africa was forced to return to Pakistan for their showdown with New Zealand in Lahore, while Australia stayed in Dubai to face India.

Miller, who scored a blistering century off 67 balls in the semi-final, criticized the travel arrangements, describing them as far from ideal.
He explained that while the flight was short, the timing left little room for recovery and negatively affected the team’s performance.
Despite Miller’s record-breaking effort, which saw him set the fastest century in Champions Trophy history and break Virender Sehwag’s 23-year-old record, South Africa lost to New Zealand by 50 runs.
New Zealand will now face India in the final on March 9 at the Dubai International Stadium.
