In cricket discussions, Warner shared his views on England’s high-risk ‘Bazball’ strategy, expressing doubts about its effectiveness on Australian pitches.
He remarked that Australia’s strong bowling attack, featuring Pat Cummins, Mitchell Starc, Josh Hazlewood, and Nathan Lyon, would be a major challenge for England in the upcoming Ashes series.
Warner, who has been picked by the London Spirit franchise for this year’s The Hundred competition in the UK, stated that Australia’s bowlers have over 1,400 Test wickets collectively, making them formidable opponents.
The left-hander believed that the bounce and field placements in Australia would make it difficult for England to replicate their aggressive style of play.
Th former hard-hitter also suggested that playing ‘Bazball’ in Australia could be risky, as the longer format usually favors a more patient approach.
Warner mentioned that if England persisted with their aggressive strategy, matches could end quickly, giving players additional rest days.
