Islamabad, 15 April 2025: Namibian all-rounder David Wiese has praised the ongoing tenth season of PSL, describing it as one of the most balanced and competitive editions yet.
Although not part of playing XI during their dominant win over Quetta Gladiators at Pindi Stadium on Sunday, Wiese shared thoughtful insights with the media after the match.
He remarked that PSL X had become a contest of equals, where team strength on paper mattered less than delivering performances on the day.
According to Wiese, this season has blurred the lines between strong and weak teams, making every fixture a close contest.

Reflecting on Qalandars’ recent performance, Wiese was full of praise for captain Shaheen Shah Afridi.
He credited Shaheen’s early breakthroughs for dismantling Quetta’s top order and setting the tone for the match.
He called Afridi the backbone of Qalandars’ bowling unit, applauding his resilience and ability to bounce back even during challenging phases.
Wiese also shared admiration for Afghan spinner Rashid Khan, who is unavailable this season.
He termed Rashid’s absence a major void, noting that a player of his calibre brought a unique edge that couldn’t easily be replaced.

Regarding his own exclusion from the playing XI, Wiese expressed no disappointment, stating that team needs come first and he remained ready to contribute whenever required.
In his closing thoughts, Wiese stressed that PSL is not only about big names but about grabbing opportunities when they arise.
His comments echoed the spirit of a league built on intensity, opportunity, and rising talent.
