ISLAMABAD – July 20, 2025: Bangladesh defeated Pakistan by seven wickets in the first T20 International at the Shere Bangla National Stadium, taking a 1–0 lead in the three-match series.

Opting to bowl first after winning the toss, Bangladesh dismissed Pakistan for just 110 runs in 19.3 overs. Fakhar Zaman was the top scorer for Pakistan with 44 off 34 deliveries. No other batter crossed 25 runs, as the visitors struggled against a disciplined Bangladeshi bowling attack.

Taskin Ahmed led the bowling figures for Bangladesh with 3 wickets for 22 runs, while Mustafizur Rahman delivered a tight spell, claiming 2 wickets for just 6 runs in his four overs. This marked the first time Bangladesh bowled out Pakistan in a T20 international match.
