Dengue cases continue to climb in Rawalpindi and Murree, with the total number of confirmed patients now reaching 134, health officials reported 11 new cases in Rawalpindi and 2 in Murree over the past 24 hours.
Fresh cases were detected in Doltala (Gujar Khan), Dhoke Kashmirian, Dhoke Dalal, Shakrial, Girja, Kalyal and UC Phagwari (Murree). Currently, Rawalpindi has 70 confirmed patients, while Murree has 64.
According to the health department, 4,780 people were screened in Rawalpindi, of which 70 tested positive. In Murree, 593 people were screened and 64 confirmed cases emerged. To strengthen efforts, the administration has deployed 150 additional sanitary patrol staff and 4 entomologists in Murree.

Campaign data shows over 1.24 million sites have been inspected in Rawalpindi, with larvae found at 14,001 sites and positive breeding detected at 1,461 locations. Checks also revealed 86,000 dengue-positive households.
Authorities have intensified action and officials added that larvicide spraying has been stepped up to curb the spread.
