The increasing spread of the dengue virus in the country has created serious dangers to human lives, and in the last 24 hours, the virus has claimed 2 more lives.
According to the Sindh Health Department, a 30-year-old woman and a 65-year-old man in Karachi have died due to dengue fever. With these recent deaths, the total number of dengue-related fatalities in the country has reached 6. In the past 24 hours alone, Karachi and Hyderabad have reported 1,411 new dengue cases.
Other regions of the country also affected
Although Karachi and Hyderabad are the most affected, the rest of the country is also facing continued dengue outbreaks.
According to the latest report by the Punjab Health Department, 38 new dengue patients were reported in the province within the last 24 hours.
These include 3 cases in Lahore, 15 in Rawalpindi, and 6 in Faisalabad.
The total number of confirmed dengue patients in Lahore has reached 565, while throughout Punjab the total stands at 3,074.
Meanwhile, 23 new cases were reported in Islamabad within the last 24 hours, out of which 17 are from rural areas and 6 from urban regions.
District administration has continued strict measures to control dengue. Under the anti-dengue campaign, 67 patients are currently under treatment in different hospitals in Islamabad.
Anti-dengue teams have carried out fogging in 861 locations and spraying at 1,142 sites in the sensitive areas of the city.
Additionally, 30,137 inspections have been conducted across various parts of the city, and 185 positive hotspots have been identified.
The district administration has directed dengue teams to submit daily reports and strictly ensure implementation of SOPs.
Public awareness banners and information boards have been placed in public areas, and several individuals have been detained for violating SOPs.

The administration is urging citizens to maintain cleanliness and ensure strict compliance with dengue prevention guidelines.
