Islamabad, Aug 28: In light of the ongoing rainfall in Sindh, the authority to declare holidays in educational institutions has been granted to the Deputy Commissioners.
The Sindh Education Department has issued a letter to all district Deputy Commissioners in the province, stating that they now have the authority to decide on school closures due to the weather conditions caused by the rain.
According to the Education Department, Deputy Commissioners can independently make decisions regarding holidays in educational institutions. They are authorized to declare holidays in their respective districts after consulting with the Education Department.
This decision has been made considering the situation arising from the rainfall across Sindh.
