Islamabad: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar engaged in discussions with Kazakh Foreign Minister Murat Abugaliuly Nurtleu during the SCO Council of Foreign Ministers meeting in Astana on Tuesday.
They examined the entirety of bilateral relations and regional connectivity initiatives. Dar expressed Pakistan’s unwavering support for Kazakhstan’s SCO Heads of State Council Presidency and stressed the importance of enhanced regional connectivity for the prosperity and development of the SCO region.
Both sides emphasized the necessity of regular meetings of various institutional mechanisms to fully exploit the potential of Pak-Kazakhstan ties. They also pledged to bolster bilateral cooperation in trade, regional connectivity, and tourism.
Following the conclusion of the SCO-Council of Foreign Ministers meeting in Astana, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar embarked on a working visit to Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, accompanied by Kyrgyz Foreign Minister Zheenbek Kulubaev.
In Bishkek, Dar will meet with Pakistani nationals, including students receiving treatment for injuries resulting from recent events in the Kyrgyz Republic. He will discuss the concerns of Pakistani students with the Kyrgyz Foreign Minister, including issues related to continuing their education during their temporary stay in Pakistan.
