Islamabad, July 14, 2025: Dewan Cement Limited (PSX: DCL) has successfully set up a 6-megawatt solar power system at its production site in the South region at Deh Dhando, Dhabeji, District Malir, Karachi.

The company is now meeting over 50% of its energy needs for operations using this clean energy source. This move shows its promise to use eco-friendly energy and improve working efficiency, according to a report shared on PSX today.

DCL’s spending on this green energy project will help reduce costs and cut the nation’s use of imported fuel.

The management at Dewan Cement shared that putting money into solar energy will boost long-term energy stability and help save money, especially when fuel prices are rising and hurting industrial profits across the country.

The statement, issued under Section 96 of the Securities Act, 2015 and PSX Clause 5.6.1(a), was also sent to the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP).
