Islamabad, June 15, 2025: Some social media accounts linked to India’s intelligence agency (RAW) have been spreading false news. They claim that Pakistan gave Iran secret information about Israeli targets. But this claim is not true.
The rumors started after Pakistan’s Defence Minister Khawaja Asif spoke in the National Assembly on June 14. His comments were taken out of context by certain Indian social media pages and used to suggest that Pakistan helped Iran attack Israel.
Some even wrongly called Khawaja Asif the Prime Minister of Pakistan, which added to the confusion.

In his speech, Khawaja Asif only spoke about supporting Iran morally and diplomatically. He did not say anything about giving intelligence or sharing military help. Anyone who understands Urdu can listen to the full speech and see that he never mentioned any secret help.
The false claims quickly spread online and caused debates. But there is no proof that Pakistan gave any support to Iran in this conflict.
Later, international news outlet RT admitted it had reported the story incorrectly. They apologized and corrected the mistake.
This situation shows how easily fake news can spread online, especially during times of war. The claim that Pakistan shared intelligence with Iran is completely false and based on a wrong understanding of what was said.
