The body of a 20-year-old, domestic worker was found in suspicious circumstances in the Windsor Park area of Ichhra, Lahore. The victim, Arshad, was a resident of Mansehra, and was working as a domestic help in a residence on a non-salaried basis.

As per the police, the homeowners were in Islamabad when the incident happened meaning that Arshad was alone in the house. When they got back, they found his body hanged on an air conditioning unit.


Law enforcers have first raised the possibility of suicide as a cause But the body has been taken to a post-mortem in an effort to ascertained the cause of this tragic death. Police officers are probing every angle including the possibility of foul play in order to make sure that they have conducted a thorough probe.

The police have requested anyone with information about the death of the domestic worker to report to the police as no information is too small to help the police investigation. In the meantime, local government censors are examining how security and safety procedures of domestic workers in the vicinity can be enhanced in order to ensure that there are no recurring incidences in future.
