Islamabad, Feb 31: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar held a productive phone conversation with Denmark’s Foreign Minister Lars Løkke Rasmussen on Saturday, reaffirming the commitment to deepening bilateral ties between Pakistan and Denmark. The discussion focused on transforming their longstanding friendship into a stronger economic partnership, emphasizing increased trade, investment, and collaboration in key sectors.
Both leaders explored ways to accelerate economic cooperation, particularly through the promotion of public-private partnerships. They recognized the potential for expanding commercial ties and fostering investment opportunities that could benefit both nations. Denmark, known for its expertise in renewable energy, technology, and sustainable development, presents valuable avenues for collaboration that align with Pakistan’s economic and environmental goals.
In addition to economic cooperation, the two ministers underscored the importance of multilateral engagement, particularly as both Pakistan and Denmark will serve as non-permanent members of the United Nations Security Council for the 2025–2026 term.
