Islamabad, Aug 25: Dr. Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, the convener of MQM-Pakistan and Federal Minister for Education and Professional Training, stated on Sunday that following the 18th Amendment, Karachi could only host campuses rather than new university structures.
The minister was present when the National College of Arts (NCA) and Preston Institute of Management Science and Technology (PIMSAT) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) agreeing to provide space for the NCA campus to be established.
Speaking with reporters following the MoU, he announced that the city would see the establishment of thirteen new campuses.
According to Dr. Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, Karachiites deserved their campus and NCA was a respectable institution of the nation. He expressed his worries about the low educational attainment rate and believed that every vacant building need to be converted into an educational space. Two young leaders were given to the city by MQM-Pakistan, according to Dr. Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui.He claimed that Karachi had changed since 2008.
He went on to say that the UN had arrived to bring about livability in the city. The Vice Chancellor of the National College of Arts (NCA), Professor Dr. Murtaza Jafri, and Dr. Mohammed Ali of the Preston Institute of Management Science and Technology (PIMSAT) witnessed the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding.
