Islamabad, Nov 16: Pakistani citizens working in Dubai, one of the United Arab Emirates’ (UAE) prominent emirates, can sponsor their families for residence visas, provided they meet specific criteria such as a minimum income threshold and required documentation.
Both employers and employees with valid UAE residence visas are eligible to sponsor their family members. Unlike previous regulations, sponsorship is now open to all individuals who fulfill the criteria, regardless of their job titles.
Documents Required for Sponsorship
To sponsor a spouse and children, the following documents are mandatory:
- Completed visa application (online or through a typing office)
- Passport copies of the spouse and children
- Photographs of the spouse and children
- Medical clearance certificates for family members aged 18 and above
- Employment contract or company agreement of the sponsor
- Salary certificate from the sponsor’s employer
- Attested marriage certificate
- Registered tenancy agreement
Family members over 18 years must undergo medical fitness tests at approved UAE health centers.
Minimum Income Requirement
Pakistani sponsors must earn a monthly salary of at least AED 4,000 without housing or AED 3,000 plus housing to qualify for family visa sponsorship in Dubai.
This policy provides Pakistani expats with an opportunity to bring their families to Dubai, fostering stronger family ties while adhering to the UAE’s residency regulations.
