Islamabad, Aug 1, 2025: The E-challan system is now officially launched in Bahawalpur under the Punjab government Safe City Project, with the goal of improving traffic oversight and public safety.

As per an official statement, this initiative reflects similar setups introduced in other cities across Punjab. Advanced monitoring tools have been deployed to ensure the system operates efficiently.

High-tech CCTV cameras powered by smart technology have been positioned at the city main entry and exit routes, busy intersections, central roads and around important government facilities. These cameras are continuously observing traffic flow to promote adherence to driving regulations.

The E-challan system has already started issuing challans to drivers who break traffic laws, marking a major move toward digital traffic control in the city.
