The Multan Traffic Police have officially started E-Challan system on trial basis at all major entry and exit points of the city. Locations include Qadirpur Ran, Awan Chowk, Dunyapur Bypass, Kot Ribanawaz, NLC Bypass, Kayanpur, Sher Shah, and Bully. Wherever you enter or leave Multan, your vehicle will now be monitored.
So far, more than 5,000 challans have already been issued under the new system.
Next Phase: City-Wide E-Challan in Multan
In the next stage, the E-Challan system will cover the entire Multan city. Violations that will be closely monitored through Safe City cameras include:
- One-way traffic violations
- Driving without helmet
- Not wearing seat belt
- Motorcycle triple riding
- Bogus number plates
- Accidents and reckless driving
The challan will be directly handled by the Dolphin Squad. Offenders may face heavy penalties, including fines up to Rs.170,000, six months imprisonment, or a punishment as per the judge’s decision.

Strict Action on Non-Payment of Challans
Authorities have warned that ignoring an E-Challan will create legal trouble. Important services such as ID card approval, driving license issuance, vehicle transfer, excise clearance, cash transactions, and even passport renewal may face restrictions until dues are cleared.
The Safe City project in Multan is aimed at improving traffic management, reducing accidents, and ensuring strict implementation of traffic laws.
