An earthquake struck parts of Pakistan today, with tremors reported in Islamabad, several KP cities including Swat, Malakand.

According to initial reports, residents in Swat, Malakand and nearby areas felt the shocks.

The Pakistan Meteorological Department’s National Seismic Monitoring Centre reported that the earthquake, measuring a magnitude of 5.4, had its epicenter in southeastern Afghanistan at a depth of 22 kilometere.

No immediate reports of damage or casualties have been received so far, but officials are monitoring the situation closely.
