Islamabad, Dec 6: A 5.1 magnitude earthquake struck several cities in Punjab, including Lahore, Jhelum, Kamalia, Gujrat, and others, causing residents to flee their homes in panic.
The National Seismic Monitoring Centre (NSMC) confirmed the epicenter near Kharian at a depth of 15 kilometers.
The Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) assured citizens that emergency personnel and machinery remain on high alert to respond to aftershocks or emergencies.
Additionally, Residents are encouraged to report any issues via the PDMA helpline at 1129.

The Seismological Center recorded the earthquake’s intensity as 5.1 on the Richter scale, with Kharian as the epicenter and a depth of 15 kilometers.
People came out of buildings and houses while reciting the Kalima.
