The Education Department at Muzaffarabad has strictly dictated that Private Schools must no longer demand fees directly from students. Formal notification made it clear that, all the financial obligations were upon the parents or guardians and the children were not to have anything to do with fee issues.

Officials stressed that making students pay is against the child welfare norms and violates the school code of conduct. Any reminder or notification about overdue should be issued to parents, and should not be issued to learners.

The directive further states that educators and school officials are not allowed to solicit fee deposits among students whether in classrooms or otherwise and also no announcements about collecting fees are allowed to be made publicly. Moreover, no family financial information of students is allowed to be revealed in private educational institutions, and no child may be excluded in the classroom because of unpaid fees.

Schools are advised to channel all fee collection via their accounts departments with students completely out of the process. This will not only protect the welfare of the children, but will also provide a professional, clear way of handling tuition.

It is strongly advised that parents and guardians should collaborate with such guidelines in order to simplify payment processes and boost the relationship between families and privates schools without jeopardizing the safety of education.
