A new guideline regarding teachers’ leave from Pakistan has been introduced by the Higher Education Department. Teachers who wish to take study leave under this policy have to provide a Rs. 2.5 million surety bond.
The new policy has been communicated to instructors and staff through a notification from the Department of Higher Education. In addition, all current cases of ex-Pakistani leave details have been requested by the department.The announcement further stated that a surety bond submission is required for all candidates on leave. In particular, applicants for study leave must submit a Rs. 2.5 million surety bond.
Furthermore, a teacher or employee who takes a study leave and then decides not to finish their degree must refund the money they were paid for that time. However, the Punjab provincial administration has made the decision to hire thousands of new teachers in the upcoming weeks. Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has instructed Provincial Minister of Education Sikandar Hayat to supervise the hiring process.
