ISLAMABAD, JULY21: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Muhammad Ali Bukhari said that advance arrangements continued to prevent urban flooding in the district.
During his visit to different areas of the district on Sunday, the DC said that after prediction of more heavy rains of monsoon season, the district administration has started advance arrangements to prevent urban flooding. He said that desilting of sewerage lines was continued in all Tehsils of the district. He said that the staff was busy in desilting of sewerage lines on Sunday.
The DC maintained that the provincial government was committed to provide best municipal services adding that all possible resources were being utilized for this purpose. He warned officers concerned that no negligence would be tolerated in this context.
