Shahab Ali, who is overseeing the cattle market operations this year, revealed that groundwork began immediately after Eidul Fitr, marking a notably earlier start compared to previous years.
The inaugural consignment was delivered by seasoned livestock merchant Javed Bhatti, hailing from Ahmedpur Sharqia, and included 27 head of cattle, comprising bulls and cows.
According to the administrator, several enhancements have been introduced this year to provide a more organized and trader-friendly environment.
One major improvement is the 50% reduction in parking charges, offering significant financial relief for both transporters and animal vendors. Furthermore, sellers are now permitted to bring their own feed for the animals an option previously restricted.
In a bid to prioritize animal health and comfort, the market management has introduced complimentary veterinary services for all livestock on site.
This proactive step aims to ensure that only fit and healthy animals are presented for sale, giving buyers confidence in their purchases.
Another commendable measure is the free daily water provision for animals. Each large animal, such as cows and bulls, will receive up to 30 liters of clean water per day.
While smaller livestock like goats will be supplied with 8 liters an initiative implemented to maintain animal well-being during their stay at the bustling bazaar.
On this Eid ul Azha 2025, is expected to attract thousands of buyers and sellers from across the country in Cattle Market.
