ISLAMABAD, May 27, 2025: In line with the directions of Chairman CDA and Chief Commissioner Islamabad Muhammad Ali Randhawa, the Directorate of Municipal Administration (DMA) of the Metropolitan Capital Islamabad (MCI) established six cattle markets in Islamabad which achieved a record 55% increase in auction revenue compared to the previous year during Eid-ul-Adha 2025.

The DMA department of MCI generated record income through transparent and fair auctions of these cattle markets. Following Chairman CDA and Chief Commissioner Islamabad Muhammad Ali Randhawa’s instructions, six official cattle markets were established across various areas of Islamabad for public convenience. These markets had livestock and health teams continuously available for animal health inspections along with sanitation teams maintaining cleanliness standards.
Additionally, DMA and Enforcement Wing teams have been actively patrolling in different areas to prevent the establishment of illegal cattle markets. The auction revenues from specific locations were Sangjani (PKR 47 million), Zia Masjid (PKR 5.1 million), Sultana Foundation (PKR 6.5 million), Bahara Kahu (PKR 1.51 million), Sector I-15 (PKR 1.23 million) and Sector I-12 (PKR 52.68 million), collectively showing an impressive 55% increase over last year’s earnings.
Chairman CDA and Chief Commissioner Islamabad Muhammad Ali Randhawa has appreciated the excellent performance of Dr. Anam Fatima, Director DMA/DDG Enforcement. It is noteworthy that the cattle markets auctions were conducted with complete transparency and purely on merit while also being made accessible to maximum bidders, resulting in significantly higher revenue collection this year.
Furthermore, under CDA Chairman and Chief Commissioner Muhammad Ali Randhawa’s direction, a zero-tolerance policy is being implemented against illegal cattle markets.
