A request has been filed in NEPRA to increase electricity prices by 19 paisa per unit for consumers across the country under monthly adjustment.
According to sources, CPPA has submitted the application for the monthly adjustment of August 2025, and NEPRA has decided to hold a hearing on September 29 regarding the request to raise electricity prices.
Sources said that under government policy guidelines, the monthly adjustment will also be applicable to K-Electric like the rest of the country.
It is expected that the August monthly adjustment will be reflected in October bills. NEPRA had issued the notification for June and July monthly adjustments for K-Electric last week, under which K-Electric consumers are getting a relief of Rs. 2.57 in two monthly adjustments.
