Islamabad, Oct 25: England Players Share Invitation for ‘Jummah’ Prayers Extended by Pakistan Team. In an effort to provide a memorable cultural and spiritual experience during the current Test series, England’s young spinners Rehan Ahmed and Shoaib Bashir have conveyed their sincere gratitude to the Pakistan cricket team for inviting them to join them for Friday prayers.
The two England players, who are of Pakistani heritage, were invited to join the Pakistani team in their prayer meeting as a sign of respect and fraternity, forging a special connection between the two teams off the cricket pitch.
Rehan also expressed gratitude to his own team for letting the two follow their religious beliefs.”With the Pakistan squad, we participated in Friday prayers. Rizwan conducted the prayer when we arrived at their hotel. We visited the mosque the week prior. In order to allow us to pray and then return, England moved the team meeting to a couple of hours later.

“With England, there has never been any doubt about it as young men entering the dressing room. We don’t take it for granted, which is a wonderful thing. They’ve always been understanding, the boys.
Baz, Stokesy, and the management team have always prioritized prayer and taking care of our other priorities before focusing on cricket. There is nothing more we can ask for. We will always be appreciative of that. Rehan told the BBC.
“The England squad made a fantastic gesture. Most importantly, we are free to be who we are. It gives us confidence before games, which is what brings out the best in us. People’s perspectives have changed in recent years. Going ahead, it’s a good step after these instances. “Hopefully, it will continue,” Bashir continued.
At Rawalpindi, Rehan and Shoaib are currently supporting their team’s efforts in the third test match. Still only 20 and 21 years old, respectively, The two might work together for England cricket for a very long time.
