Islamabad, Sep 20: England vs Australia claimed a dominant seven-wicket victory over England in the first ODI at Trent Bridge, taking a 1-0 lead in the five-match series.
England vs Australia, Head’s 154 Secures 7-Wicket Win in 1st ODI saw Australia ease through their chase, finishing the game with 10 overs to spare.
He was well-supported by Marnus Labuschagne, who remained unbeaten on 77, with the pair adding an unbroken partnership of 148 runs in just under 18 overs.
Earlier, England had set a challenging total of 315 thanks to Ben Duckett’s knock of 95, but they were bowled out by Australia, with Labuschagne contributing with the ball as well, taking 3-39. The series continues on Saturday at Headingley, Leeds, with the second ODI set to begin at 10 AM GMT.
