Islamabad, Dec 23: Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has announced that the F-8 Exchange Underpass in Islamabad will be opened to traffic tomorrow. The announcement was made during an on-site inspection of the F-8 Exchange Interchange and Serena Interchange projects, where the minister reviewed the progress of ongoing construction works.
During the visit, Naqvi emphasized that work on the F-8 Exchange Chowk Interchange is proceeding around the clock to ensure adherence to deadlines. He directed project teams to eliminate any potential delays, stressing the importance of timely completion to alleviate the city’s traffic challenges.
The minister also confirmed that the Serena Chowk Interchange is set to be inaugurated in January, with the construction slated for completion within 60 days. These infrastructure upgrades are anticipated to significantly ease traffic congestion in the capital, offering improved convenience to commuters.
Naqvi further underscored the need for environmentally responsible construction practices, urging contractors to take necessary measures to preserve trees and minimize environmental impact during the development process. He reiterated the government’s commitment to balancing infrastructure development with ecological sustainability, assuring citizens that their concerns about urban greenery are being addressed.
