Islamabad, July 5, 2025: Ranbir Kapoor’s fans are waiting for Ramayana, the most awaited Bollywood film, starring Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi, and Yash. As excitement grows, many fans remember Adipurush, another film that was also based on the same epic. However, it failed badly to impress viewers.

Directed by Om Raut, Adipurush featured Prabhas, Kriti Sanon, and Saif Ali Khan. Many disliked its characters and heavily criticised for the way it executed whole story and its overall making.

Making a film based on a grand tale like Ramayana isn’t simple. Such stories are expected to be shown with respect, great visuals, and faithfulness to their original form.

Adipurush made several mistakes, which people hope Ramayana will not repeat.

The biggest issue with Adipurush was its visual effects. Audiences were unhappy with the poor CGI and openly criticised it. Many said it looked unfinished and didn’t match the high expectations set for such a big project.

Now, viewers hope Ramayana will deliver better results. People want powerful visuals along with an accurate portrayal of every character. The initial glimpses of the film have already impressed many, sparking hope for something remarkable.

Another matter that caused outrage in Adipurush was Raavan’s appearance. Saif Ali Khan’s look as Raavan, including his costume and hairstyle, received strong backlash. Many felt it made the serious character look odd and even funny.

In Ramayana, Yash will play Raavan, and audiences are expecting a more traditional and convincing appearance this time.

The dialogues in Adipurush were also called out for sounding too casual. Viewers believed that the lines lacked seriousness and didn’t suit the tone of the story. Even Hanuman’s dialogues were seen as poorly written.

Recently, a preview from Ramayana: Part I was shared, showing Ranbir Kapoor as Ram, Yash as Raavan, and Sai Pallavi as Sita. The sneak peek has created quite a stir.

The film is expected to arrive around Diwali 2026.
