Islamabad, Mar 16 2025: Federal Minister for Parliamentary Affairs, Dr. Tariq Fazl Chaudhry, conducted an unannounced inspection of the H-9 Ramazan Bazaar Operations on Sunday to assess the availability of essential goods and ensure adherence to government pricing controls.
Accompanied by Deputy Commissioner (DC) Islamabad, Irfan Nawaz Memon, the minister engaged with shopkeepers and customers.
Reviewing the implementation of the Prime Minister’s Relief Package aimed at stabilizing prices during the holy month of Ramazan.
During his visit, Dr. Chaudhry personally inspected the quality and affordability of subsidized fruits and vegetables at designated government-run stalls.
He interacted with shoppers to gauge public satisfaction, emphasizing the need for uninterrupted supply of essential goods at reasonable prices.
Officials from the district administration confirmed that 15 essential food items, including key vegetables and fruits, are being offered at discounted rates in 20 fair-price shops across Islamabad.
DC Irfan Memon briefed the minister on the operational framework, highlighting that six dedicated Ramazan bazaars have been established in various sectors to enhance public access to affordable essentials.
These bazaars and fair-price outlets form part of a broader strategy to control inflation and ensure strict compliance with official pricing policies.
Dr. Chaudhry stressed the need for daily market surveillance, directing authorities to closely monitor stock availability and hygiene standards.
