Islamabad, 17 May, 2025: Warner Bros. continues its winning streak at the box office with Final Destination: Bloodlines movie starting with a powerful $43 million across 3,523 locations; the most successful opening weekend in the franchise’s history.
The horror sequel pulled in $20 million on its first full day, which includes $5.5 million from Thursday night previews. The opening numbers have exceeded industry projections and topped previous chapters in the long-running Final Destination series.
Directed by Zach Lipovsky and Adam B. Stein, and penned by screenwriters Guy Busick and Lori Evans Taylor, Bloodlines has struck a chord with audiences, earning a 90% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes.

It also becomes Warner Bros. fourth film this year to premiere at number one, following the successes of Mickey 17, Minecraft, and Sinners.
Meanwhile, Sinners, a vampire thriller raked in another $15 million during its fifth weekend in cinemas, dropping just 32% from last week.
Its domestic total is expected to climb up to $240.3 million by the end of Sunday, outperforming genre classics like The Blair Witch Project in the R-rated horror category.
In second place, Disney and Marvel’s Thunderbolts brought in $16 million in its third frame, pushing its total to $154.8 million domestically.

Additionally, Hurry Up Tomorrow, starring The Weeknd and Jenna Ortega, had a lukewarm launch with an estimated $3.3 to $4.7 million weekend. It managed only $2.5 million on Friday, as audiences responded half-heartedly.
Completing the top five is A Minecraft Movie, which added $5.6 million in its seventh week. The family-friendly hit has now grossed $416.3 million at the domestic box office.
With horror continuing to capture the attention of viewers, Warner Bros. has further cemented its dominance this May, led by the strong performances of Bloodlines and Sinners.
