Islamabad: Federal Finance Minister Senator Muhammad Aurangzeb leaves for London, UK to meet British officials, investors, financial institutions, investment banks, business firms and institutions.
The Finance Minister will address various investment forums and seminars during the visit to clarify the country’s economic scenario.
Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb will participate in an investment roundtable discussion titled “Pakistan Access Days” organized by Jefferies during the three-day visit.
The Finance Minister will also participate in a roundtable discussion with UK Tech Investors on “Government’s investor-friendly policies in Pakistan including AI, mining and healthcare.”
The Finance Minister will be joined by the Prime Minister’s Advisor on Investment Muhammad Ali in both these discussions.
During the visit, the Finance Minister will have a sitting with His Majesty’s Treasury Department, UK and will meet the Treasury Financial Secretary Lord Livermore and his colleagues.
The Finance Minister will pay a call at the Foreign Commonwealth and Development Office and meet the UK Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for the Middle East, Afghanistan and Pakistan, Hamish Nicholls Falconer, and senior officials
The Finance Minister will visit the UK Office for Budget Responsibility and meet its Chair Richard Hughes and his senior team.
The Finance Minister will go to see the central offices of the Bank of England and meet Governor Andrew Bailey and his team.
During the visit, he will also meet the CEOs of Deutsche Bank and Standard Chartered Bank.

The Finance Minister will also have a meeting with Simon Baugh, CEO of the UK Government Communications Service, and colleagues.
The Finance Minister will also have a session with Marcus Hall, Head of Cargill Global Trading UK, and officials from British American Tobacco.
The Finance Minister, along with Advisor on Investment Muhammad Ali, will also attend a dinner with local investors and business people hosted by the Pakistan High Commission.
