Islamabad, Aug 3: Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb has emphasized that the government is dedicated to supporting growth driven by the private sector, with an emphasis on establishing an atmosphere that is conducive to business. He was speaking with Mikko Keto, the Global CEO of FLSmidth, who paid him a visit in Islamabad today.
In order to ensure sustainable economic development across multiple sectors, Pakistan has strategically shifted towards an export-led growth model, as stressed by the Finance Minister during the meeting. He also outlined the government’s continued initiatives, which include the reorganization of the tax code, public spending, and state-owned firm privatization, as well as extensive reforms in the energy and power sectors.
