Islamabad, Feb 6: Federal Minister for Commerce Jam Kamal Khan, along with Ibrahim Al Mubarak, Assistant Minister of Investment, and Nawaf bin Said Al-Malki, Saudi Ambassador to Pakistan, jointly inaugurated Pakistan’s first-ever Made in Pakistan Single Country Exhibition in Jeddah. This landmark event marks a significant step in strengthening economic and trade relations between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.
The exhibition highlighted Pakistan’s diverse industrial capabilities and offered a platform to display the nation’s best products and services, such as textiles, sports goods, light engineering, food products, and construction materials.
Addressing a distinguished audience that included Saudi officials, business leaders, and diplomats, Jam Kamal Khan expressed his sincere gratitude to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for its steadfast support in organizing this landmark event.

“This exhibition is a clear reflection of the deep-rooted ties between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, built on shared cultural, faith, and strategic bonds,” he said in his keynote address. The Minister underscored the importance of boosting bilateral trade and investment by exploring new sectors and avenues of cooperation.
Pakistan’s growing industrial base and dynamic economy present significant opportunities for collaboration, especially in areas like food security, energy, mining, and human resource development.
“With Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030, there is immense potential to capitalize on these opportunities, and our government is committed to fostering an investment-friendly environment,” Jam Kamal Khan emphasized. The Special Investment Facilitation Council, he noted, is actively prioritizing Saudi investments in Pakistan.
The Minister also acknowledged the invaluable contribution of the 2.7 million-strong Pakistani diaspora in Saudi Arabia, particularly emphasizing the 1.7 million workers who have migrated in recent years. He pointed out the importance of joint initiatives in skill development to enhance employment prospects for Pakistanis in the Kingdom.
Additionally, Jam Kamal Khan proudly highlighted Pakistan’s world-renowned football manufacturing industry at the exhibition, expressing excitement over Saudi Arabia’s successful bid to host the 2034 FIFA World Cup. “Pakistani footballs have been a part of FIFA history, from the Brazuca to the Telstar to the Al-Rihla, and we are excited to continue this legacy for FIFA 2034,” he added.
The Minister also called for closer collaboration between Pakistani and Saudi businesses, particularly in exploring joint ventures targeting markets in Africa, Central Asia, and the Far East. “By leveraging the entrepreneurial expertise of Pakistani businesses, we can unlock new markets and create successful trilateral partnerships,” he concluded.
The Made in Pakistan exhibition, showcasing 137 Pakistani companies, was a significant milestone, attended by prominent Saudi officials and members of the business community. This event further solidified the growing economic ties between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, paving the way for a brighter, more prosperous future for both nations.
